The Challenge

Ardlinn Executive Search was retained to conduct a global search to find an Executive Director of Nursing Continuous Education & Professional Development. The position required candidates to have very specific experience in both woman and children’s health and in depth expertise across a number of clinical practice areas. Ideally the successful candidate would be working in one of the top children’s hospitals internationally so this coupled with the location made the search extremely challenging.

Ardlinn’s Approach

We spent a number of days with our client in Doha meeting with all of the key stakeholders to ensure we had a thorough understanding of their requirements and working with them to build out their proposition. We also took this opportunity to explore the facilities, the housing options available and the city itself. This provided us with the in depth knowledge and unique insights required to engage, attract and effectively sell the opportunity to target candidates.

The Result

Ardlinn researched over 70 of the world’s best Woman and Children’s Hospitals producing a longlist of over 200 candidates. Following conducting our own internal interview and selection process we submitted a shortlist of 5 excellent candidates for the position. Following the client interviews we successfully filled this position within 10 weeks of receiving the brief and visiting the client.

The post Medical and Research Centre – Qatar first appeared on Ardlinn.

The Challenge

The board with whom we were working were keen to engage someone from the private sector for the role of CEO. The compensation package on offer was about 40% less than what a typical senior executive in the private sector would expect to earn, which presented a real challenge.

Ardlinn’s Approach

We decided that on this occasion, press advertising might assist us to position and sell the CEO role more effectively alongside the search process. The messaging we created was about rethinking your career: leaving the private sector and joining an organisation where you could espouse real and meaningful social change, tackling difficult global issues around inequality and justice. This campaign attracted a number of strong candidates, in addition to those who had been identified and engaged through our research strategy.

The Result

We interviewed 18 candidates in total, 5 of whom were short-listed for the board to consider. All 5 candidates were interviewed by the board, who were deeply impressed by the calibre of the talent presented. They offered the position to their first choice, who accepted immediately. The whole process took 8 weeks from inception to completion.

The post Global independent not-for-profit organization first appeared on Ardlinn.

The Challenge

This company had a fantastic brand and proposition, but their recruitment process was extremely lengthy and challenging. The robust qualification criteria set out by the company ruled out many candidates from the very beginning.

Ardlinn’s Approach

Our team first identified all of our client’s key competitors across Europe, in addition to Fortune 50 companies. We researched their executive and senior management teams in granular detail, focusing on academic qualifications, speed of career progression, leadership successes, and reputation. From this we produced a long-list of 286 candidates, whom were then systematically and strategically engaged. Due to the volume of roles and locations, we gradually presented the client with only the top candidates for each position. Over an eight month period, we submitted only 22 candidates for client consideration.

The Result

Following 8 months of consistent and detailed work, our client had offered Senior Director positions to four candidates, and Director level positions to two. Due to the success of this work, the client retained our team exclusively for a further 12 months.

The post Multinational Technology Company first appeared on Ardlinn.

After a year of unsuccessful searching, a Global Energy company turned to Ardlinn to assist them in finding a Global VP Health & Safety.

The post Global VP Health and Safety Case Study first appeared on Ardlinn.

The Challenge

Ardlinn Executive Search was retained by a Global Energy company to find a Global VP of Health & Safety in late October 2015, with the successful candidate to be based in either in the US or Western Europe. The organisation had been seeking the right candidate for over 12 months and had used a number of other recruitment companies without success.

Ardlinn’s Approach

Ardlinn produced a target list of 60 International companies and a longlist of 519 potential candidates. We successfully made contact with 264 candidates. 146 were eliminated due to their location and experience. 118 telephone interviews were conducted with 41 candidates progressing to a face-to-face interview with us. A final shortlist of 8 candidates was submitted to the client in mid-November, all of whom were telephone screened by the client.

The Result

Four candidates were invited to the client’s European office for a final interview, and the successful candidate was offered and accepted the role in December.

Due to the success of this search, the client has retained Ardlinn to find a Global Director of Environmental Sustainability.

The post Global VP Health and Safety Case Study first appeared on Ardlinn.
